Tags are keywords which define the content of an article that is published on your website. The keywords are visible in the form of tag clouds or as a list of words, with each keyword being listed directly after the other. The use of tags allows you to have a quick and easy view of a particular theme in question.

A tag code allows you to enter all of the tags (words) which are indicated on the measured page. Several lines of JavaScript are added to the tag code, which consists in declaring the xt_tags variable that contains all of the words, which are separated by "|". In order to create this character you must use the following key combinations on your keyboard:

The tag code

A model of the tag code which is to be used can be seen below:

<script type="text/javascript">

xt_tags ="[label1]|[label2]|[label3]|[label4]";

//do not modify below

if (window.xtparam!=null){window.xtparam+="&tag="+xt_tags;}

The labels "Label1", "Label2", etc, represent page tags. It is possible to measure up to 20 tags per page.

The final keyword (tag) that is entered must not be followed by the "|" character. Should this happen, a blank item will be generated in your analyses.

Once tagging has been completed, the analysis needs to be activated (via Tools > Customisation). For the analysis to appear on your interface you need to go to the Navigation menu and then select Tags.
